Fascinated by the fall of the folds: Beds, 1984 until today
In my teenage years and well into adulthood I was suffering from health problems, their consequence was a weakness that made me stay in bed often and for longer. There I passed the time not only by reading (including the "Magic Mountain" by Thomas Mann). In this dozy state I began to study the folds of duvet covers and sheets and started to photograph them. These studies and images have remained one of my long-term projects until today.
