Paris, January 5, 1982

Today I suffer from an indescribable crisis. I only cry, dilute my color with tears. After hours of despair, I called Lis. She supported me by saying that I should come back quietly, if I could not stand it, since it would be useless to endure at the expense of my feelings. After this conversation I took a deep brath and painted the whole evening.
